Meet ‘The Click’ 60’s band members:
Colin Walker (Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar)
Alan Thompson (Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals)
He has worked touring with big names like The Mommas and the Papas, George McCrae, Freda Payne, Albert King, and Gloria Gaynor and has played significant venues including The London Palladium . His reputation also brought opportunities to do other “one off” events such as The Hammersmith Odeon with Mick Ronson’s band, and a stint as tour manager with The Happy Mondays.
Andy Burns (Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals)
Andy’s first music success was with Manchester band Stress, supporting several big names on stage including Julian Cope, Stiff Little Fingers and Echo and the Bunnymen, all still around today in one form or another. They released a single, “Too Late to Cry”, on the Out of Town record label in 1981, before going their separate ways.
John Woodruff (Drums and Backing Vocals)
John has been part of the Manchester music scene since the 60’s when he formed Romany Rye with Andy MacPherson. They played across the North West including Liverpool’s Cavern Club and various college and university venues supporting Free and Status Quo. John also worked with Andy to set up Revolution Studios. This was initially in the attic of a flat they rented in Davenport and clients included The Buzzcocks who arrived for their first session on the bus! Andy later took over full running of Revolution when it moved to Cheadle Hulme.
